How many toilets does a farm crew need?
OSHA 29 CFR 1928.110 requires 1 toilet and 1 hand washing facility for every 20 field workers. The toilet and hand wash station must sit within a quarter-mile walk of where people work. A 45-person harvest crew needs at least 3 toilets and 3 hand wash stations.
Read the official standard at OSHA 1928.110 field sanitation. Texas employers should also confirm any state rules with their own advisor.
Can the units follow the crew from field to field?
Trailer-mounted porta potties move with the crew from block to block. A trailer carries 2 units and a hand wash station and can be towed by the grower's own truck. Skid units are moved by our driver during service stops.

How are field units serviced on dirt roads?
Field porta potties are serviced weekly from the nearest point a pump truck can reach. After a heavy Valley rain, caliche and dirt roads can be closed for a day or two. Tell dispatch the gate and the dry-weather route so service is not missed.
