What emergencies need a porta potty?
The most common emergencies are a broken sewer line at a home or business, a city water main break, a boil-water notice, and flooding or hurricane damage. Restaurants and offices also rent units when restrooms fail an inspection or a plumber needs the building for several days.
How does hurricane season affect porta potty rentals?
The Atlantic hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30, and the Rio Grande Valley sees the most risk in August and September. Units on open sites are laid down or strapped before a hurricane warning when the site is reachable. After a storm, recovery crews and shelters book units fast, so call early.
